XXIII Spain – United States Forum

The Fundacion Consejo España – Estados Unidos and the US-Spain Council celebrated its twenty-third annual forum in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), being this time the fourth time this important bilateral meeting is held in Andalusia, tras being celebrated in Malaga in 2014 and Seville in 1995 and 2005. The bilateral meeting, was celebrated 9th and 10th November 2018 in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz).

  • Sector: Institutional (Consejo España –  Estados Unidos)
  • Target audience: More than 140 attendees from the political field, academical sector and corporate segment between Spain and the US.
  • Objective: The Fundacion Consejo España-Estados Unidos and the US-Spain Council, organises this annual forum to analyze strategical and common challenges to reinforce bilateral links. In particular, in this XXIII edition, the Forum discussed the situation in Africa and the Mediterranean Sea and the technological impact in employment and cities.
  • Need: The Fundacion Consejo España-EE.UU. needed for this annual forum a partner that was able to provide technical secretariat services of the event including marketing and communication tasks such as desing of the event’s image, creation of the website and coordination of the press agency, etc

  • Proposed Solution: The Events & Congresses team in >atlanta Seville, with a wide experience in organizing and preparing International Foroums (atlanta was choosen in the past as partner for for 2016 edition celebrated in Santiago de Compostela and 2014 celebrated in Malaga), de encargó de dar solución a todas las necesidades de secretaría técnica y comunicación. Desde el departamento de Marketing y Comunicación de >atlanta se desarrollaron in-house los elementos gráficos de imagen que, posteriormente se plasmaron en soportes como agendas, badges y web oficial. Además, se coordinó la aparición y difusión en medios de prensa (escrita y online).
  • Outcome: During these two days of the Forum more than 130 promiments representatives and 16 speakers experts in different areas were gathered to discuss current affaris and topis of mutual interest. Some of the most important discussed issues have been: cooperation opportunities between Africa and the Mediterranean Sea. Among these highlighted personalities such as the Spain and United States ambassador, Santiago Cabanas, we could count on the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell.
